Blog Journal - November 19th Edition

☺WELCOME TO MY BLOG JOURNAL #10 ☺ A paragraph about how you think you will use data collection (surveys) tools as a teacher. Be specific about your subject matter area and the grade level. So for me as a visual disabilities teacher, I don't really know how I would go about surveys aside from maybe using them to gauge students' progress (i.e. asking questions like how many times have you been able to read Braille without assistance, etc.) or to see how I'm doing in the course (i.e. how many lessons have you gone through and felt like I was talking in circles). In any other subject, I would do the same thing except I would probably get more specific to the course, whether it be in relation to science, art, etc. For example, if I was a math teacher, I would use data collection to do a math lesson on mean, median, mode, and average.   A paragraph on topics you found most interesting from reviewing your classmates’ blogs.   ☺WELCOME TO MY BLOG JOURNAL #9 ☺ A paragraph about your experience as a distance learner. Have you experienced distance learning (including Emergency Remote Learning during Covid-19)? What do you like about your  distance learning  experience? What do you dislike about your distance learning experience? When you are a teacher, what is something you can do to help improve the experience of distance learners? However, I disliked that we weren't really able to interact with my peers the same way I used to. I also realized that I didn't grasp key concepts as well as I did when I was actually in class, I wasn't very motivated like I was during brick-and-mortar classes, and ov...

☺WELCOME TO MY BLOG JOURNAL #8☺ A paragraph about the new skills you acquired from working on the Web Design assignment. Reflect on what you liked/disliked about the assignment. How can what you learned from the assignment be used in your future career?   Post a link to your website . From working on the Web Design assignment, I realized that Weebly is NOT a website I'd like to use for my future classroom. I ended up really frustrated to the point I decided to just use Google Sites. Weebly is not a good platform for me due to the difficulty of making the site templates your own, navigating the editing tools felt over-complicated, and just in general I felt very stressed and overwhelmed trying to make it work with Weebly. However, from this assignment, I've learned a new way of relaying class information aside from the newsletter, and I think I will utilize this a bit more than newsletters, especially since there was the option to add an online calendar, and I think as a more...
